I conduct hourly tea tastings to ensure consistency in flavor, aroma, and overall quality while addressing challenges such as oxidation, contamination, and process variability.
My expertise extends to compliance with international standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management Systems), ensuring that production processes meet global best practices. I am also well-versed in Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade compliance, supporting ethical sourcing, environmental sustainability, and worker welfare.

With over 20 years of experience in green leaf collection and tea husbandry, I have played a vital role in ensuring high-quality tea production from the ground up. My expertise spans crop protection, fertilizer application, and maintaining good plucking standards, ensuring that only the finest leaves reach processing.
In addition to overseeing leaf quality, I have extensive experience in fleet planning and logistics, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of green leaf to factories. I am also committed to training farmers, equipping them with best practices in sustainable tea cultivation, pest management, and soil health to enhance yields and quality.
Furthermore, I have a strong understanding of ISO 9001 and 22000 standards, Rainforest Alliance, and Fair Trade compliance, ensuring that all processes meet global safety, quality, and sustainability benchmarks. Through my combined experience in field operations, quality assurance, and compliance, I strive to support a thriving and responsible tea industry.

Mathenge is a seasoned Information Security Officer with over 7 years experience in Network Security, Helpdesk Operations, Infrastructure Management among others. He holds a Maters Degree in Data Communications, Bachelor of Business Information Technology and He is a Certified Information Sytsems Auditor (CISA).
He heads the Systems Administrator docket at the Factory.

Benson Ngure is a Fairtrade Premium Accountant, Certified Public Accountant,
15 years of experience in financial reporting, taxation, and community
development issues at Gacharage Tea Factory. Benson is passionate about
helping businesses thrive financially, ensuring accuracy and integrity in
financial reporting and dedicated to providing expert accounting solutions,
personalized financial guidance. Benson has ensured Gacharage Tea Factory
remains Fairtrade Certified by ensuring Fairtrade Standard compliance as
well as ensuring the Gacharage Community does get the value of the Fairtrade
premiums received through smooth projects implementation.

Koech Benard is a dedicated management trainee at Gacharage Tea Factory, where he is gaining hands-on experience in tea production, quality control, and operation management. With a background education in Business and Agricultural Extension, he is passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring high-quality tea production.
