KTDA Holding Chairman Mr Enos Njeru said the factory directors and KTDA accountants approve the bonus payment based on tea sales, prices, volumes, production and operation, and monthly payment to the growers, among other considerations.
“ In the year, the factories registered increased deliveries following heavy rains that were experienced in various parts of the county,” said Njeru.
Kigumo MP Joseph Munyoro has congratulated tea farmers at Gacharage and Makomboki for being listed among the highest in the bonus payment.
“Its worth noting that Kigumo is leading in bonus payment owing to the efforts made by the tea farmers at Gacharage and Makomboki. Ikumbi tea factory also did the best as it clocked the rate of Sh59,” said the MP. Munyoro is also a member of the Coffee Tea Parliamentary Association (Cotepa).
